Jakarta, Indonesia – (July 2015) – In May 2015, APP won an award at the Case Study Leadership Award at the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council’s Summit held in Seattle. APP submitted a case study in transparency and was one of almost 50 case studies submitted.
The case study awards were hand-picked from many entries of purchasers, suppliers, and public interest advocates – both members and non-members of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council. The winners were selected by a prestigious jury from government, the private sector, and civil society. APP was awarded for its case study submission on ‘A Journey Towards a More Sustainable & Transparent Paper Production Model.’
Founded in 2013, the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council brings together leaders from government, industry, academia, standards organizations and NGOs to develop an integrated guidance, benchmarking, and recognition program for institutional leadership in sustainable purchasing.
